Field Assessment

The Wrecker is a Scrap Titan โ€” a war machine built over years from accumulated salvage. Deep in the lowest levels, where the oldest salvage sites have been picked over for decades, there are chiefs who've had the resources to build. The Wrecker began as standard layered armor. Then hydraulic pistons from a cargo loader. Then hull plating from a collapsed transport. Then sensor arrays from deactivated security drones. Over years, the armor became a chassis, the chassis became a machine, and the machine became something the chief doesn't so much wear as inhabit.

A towering construct of welded scrap metal and salvaged industrial machinery โ€” nearly three meters tall, filling a corridor from wall to wall. Hydraulic piston arms deliver impacts that buckle structural steel. Industrial saw blades are mounted on articulated joints. Internal heat makes the joints glow amber through the gaps, and steam vents from pressure release valves along the spine. Nothing is clean, nothing is designed โ€” everything is accumulated.

Known Activity

The Wrecker alternates between offensive and defensive configurations โ€” a behavior suggesting tactical awareness, though whether this comes from the pilot or from salvaged processing components is unclear. In offensive mode: devastating hydraulic strikes and industrial cutting tools. When damaged significantly: retraction into a sealed shell configuration, armoring up and punishing anything that gets close. The grinding, screeching transformation of a war machine reconfiguring itself mid-fight is the Wrecker's signature.

The pack follows at a distance, treating the Wrecker as something between a leader and a force of nature. Other packs avoid its territory entirely. Whether the chief inside is a prisoner, a pilot, or something that has merged so completely with the machine that the distinction no longer applies is one of the Deep Dregs' few genuine mysteries.
